About TCCIA

Who We Are

Texas Construction Crafts Instructors Association (TCCIA) is a partnership of teachers and industry representatives working together in the construction industry to ensure Texas has a skilled workforce now and in the future. TCCIA serves as an advocate for construction technology teachers and provides a voice for them in education and industry.

What We Do

TCCIA helps facilitate networking and collaboration among teachers, administration and industry through sharing of contact information, teacher and industry partner websites and the TCCIA website (tccia.net).

TCCIA assists in providing new and varied training opportunities at TIVA summer and midwinter conferences as well as alerting its members to industry training opportunities, especially from TCCIA industry partners.

TCCIA provides student rewards to winners at state contests in the Construction Tech areas including, but not limited to: carpentry, mill & cabinet making, team works, building maintenance and other areas.

TCCIA alerts teachers about scholarship and apprenticeship opportunities available to their students.

Our Mission

The mission of TCCIA is to provide training and support for its members to become successful and productive construction technology teachers and reward their students for outstanding achievement.

Our motto: Preparing the Hands That Build America.

Membership

TCCIA membership is open to any current or retired teacher in the Architecture and Construction Career Cluster covering Building Maintenance, Mill & Cabinet Making and Construction Technology. Industry partners in the area of construction are also encouraged to join.
